How Do I Use Vee?
Ask Vee about your time off in plain language, and it answers from your live data or prepares a leave request for you. Vee prepares, you submit: nothing is booked or cancelled without a confirmation step from you.
Opening Vee
- Sign in to your Vacation Tracker dashboard.
- Click the purple Vee tab on the right of the page.
- Type your question in Ask Vee anything, or click one of the suggestions.
What to Ask
You do not need to phrase things a particular way. For example:
Requesting Leave
- Tell Vee what you need, for example "Request a half-day of Paid Time Off on Friday September 4th".
- Vee replies with a card showing the leave type and dates it understood, and an Open leave request form button.
- Click it. The normal Request Leave form opens with your leave type and dates filled in.
- Check the details and press Request Leave.
Cancelling Leave
- Ask Vee, for example "Cancel my leave on September 4th". You can also ask what you have pending first, and Vee will list it.
- Vee shows a Vee prepared this card with the dates and status.
- Press Confirm to cancel, or Discard to leave the request as it is.
Moving Leave to Different Dates
Ask Vee to move a leave and it prepares the change for you to confirm. Half-days are the exception: a half-day cannot be edited once it exists, in Vee or in the dashboard. Vee will offer to cancel it and prepare a new request for the dates you want instead.
Your Past Chats
Click the clock icon at the top of the panel to see your earlier conversations. The + button starts a new one.
Common Questions
No leave is booked until you press Request Leave on the form. To check, ask Vee what you have pending, or look at Upcoming Leaves on your dashboard.
No. Vee only submits requests for you, even if you are an Administrator. To add leave for someone else, use Users in your dashboard, or ask them to request it themselves.
No. Approvals happen in your dashboard, or in Slack and Microsoft Teams if you use one of those integrations. Vee can tell you what is pending, but it cannot decide on it.
Sometimes Vee cannot reach the knowledge base and will say so rather than guess at the steps. Try again in a few minutes, or search our knowledge base directly. Questions about your own balances, policy and team schedule are not affected.
