The Weekly Energy Trend Chart and How Your Score Updates
The Weekly Energy Trend chart on your My Energy level page plots how your score has moved over the past weeks, so you can see whether you're trending up, holding steady, or drifting down, compared with your department's average. Your score isn't static either: it refreshes automatically as your Vacation Tracker data changes, with a new point added to the chart on a weekly cadence.
What the Chart Shows
Y-axis: the five Energy Levels: Peak Energy, Energized, Functional, Struggling, and Drained.
X-axis: the past few weeks: typically the last eight points, with the most recent week on the right.
Your Energy level: a colored line tracking your score week by week.
Your department average Energy level: a second, lighter line for comparison.
Algorithm update marker: a small calculator icon on the date the score calculation changed, so you can see why a line might have stepped at a particular moment.

Why It Matters
Patterns are easier to spot: a single number can hide a trend, but a chart makes it obvious.
Comparison gives context: if you're consistently below the department average, that might be a sign to plan time off.
It's a conversation starter: not with your manager, but with yourself. The chart often prompts the question "have I taken a break recently?"
Compare carefully
The department line is an average. Being above or below it doesn't mean anything is wrong; everyone's data is different. Use it as a reference, not a target.
When the Score Refreshes
When you take or schedule new leave: factors like Recent Rest and PTO Balance update as your leave history grows.
When your team's calendar changes: holidays added by your Admin and team-wide patterns flow into the suggestions and into Work-Life Balance.
On a weekly cadence: a new point is added to the chart above, on the same day each week.
When you adjust it manually: the page updates immediately after you use Adjust Your Energy.
When the algorithm is updated: the calculator marker described above shows exactly when.
No manual refresh needed
You don't have to do anything to refresh the score. Open the page whenever you'd like and it'll be up to date.
Common Questions
Yes, the score can change as new data comes in (a leave you log, a leave that's approved, a balance that ticks over a threshold), though most movement shows up in the weekly point on the chart. A sharp drop specifically usually means one factor changed a lot at once (a chunk of PTO used, a shift in Rollover Health or Recent Rest). Open the Score breakdown section to see which one moved.
About the last eight weeks, though the window can shift slightly depending on how much data you have. If last week specifically is missing, it's usually because the week hasn't finished yet or there wasn't enough data to calculate a fair score. It'll appear once the data is in.
Neither today. There are no push notifications for score changes and no built-in chart export. The page is the source of truth, so open it whenever you'd like for the latest value, and a screenshot is the easiest way to keep a record of the chart.
