Whether you’re leaving for a 2-week vacation or a 3-day work conference, there’s one thing you need to do before saying “Bye!” to your workplace. Can you guess what? It’s extremely tiring to write one, and the people you are sending it to will most definitely be disappointed to receive it. Of course, we’re talking about giving PTO reminders through OOO messages.
The last thing anyone wants to see when they email you is an OOO message, however, it’s something that’ll definitely happen once or twice a year. So, as long as we all have to write it, why not make it interesting? At least the people receiving it will get a good laugh out of it.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to create awesome OOO messages, we suggest using our free OOO Email Generator.
Make it rhyme!
“Thanks for the mail,
but I had to bail.
Currently, I’m out of reach,
’cause I’m chilling at the beach.
I’ll get back to you very soon,
expect my mail on the 24th at noon.”
You have to admit that this sounds better than “I am out of the office, will get back to you on the 24th.” This is an OOO message your contacts will definitely remember.

Did you ever think of using only emojis to let your contacts know you’re away? Well, if you haven’t, this might give you an idea. It’s hilarious!
Funny, and honest.
“I am out of office and will return on the 24th of June. In the meantime, know that I have incredibly easy access to a phone and email, but I assure you it will not be used for work purposes.
Thank you for your understanding. Here’s a photo of me on vacation.”
How about a meme?
“Hope my lame attempt at an interesting OOO message has made you laugh. I will be back on April the 4th to hear what you thought of it. “
The Twitter Method
We heard of this method recently, but have to say we’re obsessed. To whoever created it – Well done! We’ll definitely be using this from now on.
