An Introduction to our new Logs tab
Vacation Tracker’s new Logs feature is the perfect example of an efficient and easy-to-use tool that makes time-off tracking almost effortless. Users of this page can view recent updates related to leave types with rollover days, leave type quotas, and more!
With our new Logs tab, you can now easily view a complete audit trail of all your employees’ leave activity — from approval to status updates, workweeks, PTO, and more — in one place. In simple words, Administrators are now able to see who did what, where, and when and get full visibility into their team’s leave-related activities. Users can view their own logs as well.
Here’s how it works
Every time there is a change related to your leave tracking history, this log updates itself with crucial details that often get misplaced — details like who approved the leave, the time stamp, date of approval, and more. You can search for these details based on Timeline (date period) or Filters (Custom search). Here is a list of events you can expect to see in our new Logs tab:
- Status change (when the user is activated, deactivated, or deleted)
- Changes in user data
- Updates to leave quota
- Work week changes
- Location and department change
- Accrued days
- End date / deactivation of users
How to access Vacation Tracker’s Logs tab
You can access your Logs tab in 6 easy steps:
- Visit app.vacationtracker.io/connect
- Log in with your credentials (from Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace)
- From the left-hand side of the menu, click on your profile page
- On your profile page, click on the Logs tab
- Filter among the options you’d like to view
- Select the date range
And voila! You can now access all important leave-related information from your account.
