Having a strong team is probably the most important thing in a successful company. You’ve probably heard of the saying that a company is only as strong as its employees. That’s completely true. However, if all employees work as a team, and get along great, the company can achieve amazing things.
Once you have a team of hardworking employees, it’s only natural you’ll want them to bond and share experiences. One of the ways to do so is by organizing team-building activities. Many do not realize the value of team building until they attend one and return home full of interesting stories and of course, new friends. And when you come back into the office, you’ll realize how important the team building you’ve attended was, and how the entire team works better now, side by side.
Team building activities are the right way to go if you want your team to connect, however finding the right activity can sometimes give you a real headache. That’s why we’re sharing with you some of our favorite team-building activities your team will definitely love.
1. Flash Mob
Chances are you’ve probably heard the term “Flash Mob” once or twice in your life. You might have even witnessed one in real life, but were unaware of what this actually was. Well, it’s a great team-building activity, that’s for sure.
A flash mob is a group of people who suddenly get together in a public place and perform an act for the public. It usually doesn’t last long, and as soon as the act is over, the group disperses quickly. The act can be whatever the group wants – a dance, a song, a freeze in the middle of the city. And it’s always done for the purpose of entertainment, both for the public and the group who’s performing.
Doing a flash mob is a great way for your team to bond, and have an amazing time. Plus, it’s not something you see often, so it’s quite an original team-building idea.
2. Escape Room
An escape room is a physical adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles, by using clues and hints provided for them in the room. Every room has a different objective, and the players need to discover a way out before the time runs out. It’s a very interesting activity, and your team will definitely love it.
Solving various problems at work can be stressful at times, however, solving riddles in an escape room is oddly relaxing and it’s a great chance for your team to bond.
3. Blindfolded Food Tasting
There are two things everyone on your team definitely loves, and that’s food and adventure. Well, maybe everyone doesn’t love adventure, but the food is definitely everyone’s number one. So, why not organize a blindfolded food tasting? Not only is this highly entertaining, but it’s a great chance for everyone to try some new foods, and bond while doing so.
Just make sure you check for allergies before you proceed with this activity, and we can assure you, your team will definitely love this team-building activity.
4. Karaoke Night
We all love to sing. Some of us might hide it, but facts are facts. When we’re in a club and our favorite song comes on, we could sing it all night long. So, why not use this and create an amazing karaoke night?
You can do it in your office if the surroundings allow you to, or go to a local bar that has open mic nights. The entire team will bond over their love of music. Does it get any better than that?
5. Inflatable Games
Another team-building activity your team will definitely love. There are various companies which are specialized in inflatable games and can set up an entire playground of various inflatable equipment your team can enjoy. One of the most famous inflatable games is definitely the sumo wrestling inflatable game. And it’s famous for a reason. It’s very fun and never gets old. If you do not want to have an entire playground of inflatable games, then you can organize a sumo match in your office space.
Whether you want to try out something unique like the examples we’ve mentioned above, or would rather go with a more traditional option (like a weekend on a mountain), your team will love it either way. After all, the most important thing when it comes to team building activities is that everyone’s having fun together. It doesn’t matter where you’re organizing your company’s team building as long as everyone’s together.
