March brought one of our most requested features to Vacation Tracker - and honestly, it's about time. Birthday notifications are finally here, which means you can stop scrambling to remember everyone's special day.

Birthday Notifications Let You Automate Team Celebrations
Here's what makes this feature useful: you set it up once, and Vacation Tracker handles the rest. The system sends automated messages on each employee's birthday. You can also enable optional reminders that go out a few days before, so you're not caught off guard.
The setup works like our other notification features. You choose when messages are sent, select the language, and choose your delivery channel. That's it. No more awkward "oh sorry, I forgot" moments (well, at least not for birthdays).

Developer Documentation Is Now Available
If you're the technical type (or work with someone who is), our developer docs are now live. They cover everything you need to build custom workflows or automate processes with our API.
The documentation includes in-depth guides on Zapier integrations and OAuth 2 authorization, plus full API references. Whether you're automating routine tasks or building something more complex, the docs should get you up and running pretty quickly.

Tree-Planting Program Added 913 Trees in March
Our partnership with One Tree Planted keeps growing (pun sort of intended). This month, we planted 913 trees based on your team's leave requests.
The math is simple: every time someone on your team requests time off, it contributes to real environmental impact. Your team takes a break, the planet gets one too. Not a bad side effect of vacation planning.
Platform Updates Include Better Security and Reliability
Beyond birthdays, we shipped several behind-the-scenes improvements this month. Cross-platform notification reliability got stronger - messages should now reach you more consistently across different devices and platforms.
We also tightened security across the board and cleaned up some UI copy. These aren't flashy changes, but they make the app work better day-to-day.
