Guide: Adding Days for Users Based on Seniority
Seniority Entitlement is the Automation that grants extra PTO days based on how long someone has been with the company. You define the milestones (for example: 3 extra days at 2 years of service, 5 at 5 years), and Vacation Tracker adds the days automatically, either at the start of the fiscal year or on each User's work anniversary. Seniority Entitlement is part of the Complete plan. No spreadsheets, no missed anniversaries, no awkward conversations about whether someone is owed more days.

The Automation uses the Start Date on the User's profile. If it's wrong, the milestones land on the wrong dates. Correcting the Start Date afterwards doesn't recalculate days the Automation has already added. To fix the balance, change the amount on the User's individual profile.
Yes, subject to the Brought Forward Policy on that leave type. If the policy caps carry-over at, say, 5 days, the carry-over still caps at 5 regardless of how generous the Seniority milestones were.
It depends on what you pick under When the rule starts applying when you create the automation. From employee's start date counts full seniority and credits every tier already reached. From today ignores tiers already passed and only applies future ones; for those Users, an Admin can adjust the quota manually on their profile.
