Vacation Leave Quota
20 days
Workers in Sudan are entitled to 20 days of paid vacation. Workers have the right to a paid vacation following a full year of uninterrupted work at the company.
Vacation entitlement increases with the number of years of continuous service.

A vacation policy is generous for employees with more years of experience. The national vacation policy is similar to other leave laws in Africa, although countries like Mauritius (22 days) and Egypt (21 days) offer longer vacation leave.
Carry Over
Allowed. Maximum 1 year of postponement.
If the employer agrees, an employee can delay taking part of their vacation (not all) to the following year, but not more than one year.
Payment of Unused Vacation Leave upon Termination
Required by law.
When it comes to payout at termination, the employer is required to pay. So, employees who end their employment for any reason, including resignation, are entitled to monetary compensation for any unused vacation days.
Sick Leave in Sudan
Up to 9 months of paid leave.
Employees in Sudan are entitled to up to 9 months of paid sick leave.
Payout
Employees who are on sick leave are entitled to sick pay:

After 9 months of illness, sick leave is not paid.

Pregnant employees in Sudan are entitled to 8 weeks of maternity leave. They become eligible for fully paid maternity leave after 6 months of continuous service.
This leave can be taken in the following manner:
- 4 weeks of prenatal and 4 weeks of postnatal
or
- 2 weeks of prenatal and 6 weeks of postnatal
