Does Vacation Tracker have MFA (multi-factor authentication)?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a multi-step account login process that requires users to enter more information than just a password when logging into their account. For example, along with the password, users would be asked to enter a code sent to the MFA application of their choice.

Where MFA Is Available

Email Only integration only
Within Vacation Tracker you can set MFA for the Email Only integration. Our other integrations (Slack / Teams / Google Workspace) do not require MFA because we use the SSO (single sign-on) option to connect to these platforms.

Who Turns It On

Admins are not able to turn on the MFA option for the users; each user must turn on the option themselves on the online dashboard under their Account Settings section.

How to enable / disable
If a user would like to turn on/off the MFA option, they can do that using the steps in How do I turn on/off MFA (multi-factor authentication) in Vacation Tracker?

What You'll Need

Users must have an MFA application that they will connect with Vacation Tracker. Some examples of an MFA application are:

  • Bitwarden
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Google Authenticator
  • Authy
  • Similar apps
