Guide: Automations, Add-ons, and Integrations
Everything you can turn on to extend Vacation Tracker, in one place.
3-minute read
The Add-ons page in Workspace Settings holds everything you can turn on to extend Vacation Tracker beyond its core features. Items are grouped into three categories: Automations (rules the system enforces on leave), Add-ons (privacy, custom fields, developer access), and Integrations (connections to external tools). Some are included in your plan; others are activated on demand or coming soon.
Automations
Automations are rules Vacation Tracker enforces in the background so you don't have to. Each one watches for a specific pattern and blocks or adjusts leave requests automatically.
- Leave Request Notice Period Core & Complete
Requires longer leave requests to be submitted a set number of days in advance. - Probation Period Complete only
Restricts leave for new hires during their probation. - Blackout Period Complete only
Blocks time off during critical periods (product launches, year-end close, etc.). - Entitlement by Role Complete only
Grants additional leave based on a User's role, defined by Labels. - Seniority Entitlement Complete only
Rewards employees with extra leave days based on tenure, applied automatically on each anniversary. - Maximum Users Away Complete only
Caps how many people from a team can be off at the same time. - Leave Duration Complete only
Sets a maximum number of consecutive days a User can take off in a single request.

Who can turn these on
Common Questions
Workspace Settings > Add-ons. The My Add-ons tab shows what you already have on; Discover More Add-ons lists the ones available to switch on. Only Admins see this page.
Automations enforce rules on leave requests (Blackout, Probation, etc.). Add-ons extend the product with privacy tools, custom fields, or developer access. Integrations connect Vacation Tracker to external tools (BambooHR, ADP, Zapier).
No. Turning on an Automation, Add-on, or Integration doesn't change any leave that's already been approved. Only new requests and future data flow through the new rules.
