How Do I Enable Half-Day Holidays?
Admins can now set half-day holidays!
This option can be set for any holiday that's been imported or manually added to your locations. Once set, they will count as half of the work day!
Here's how you can do this:
- From your online dashboard, go to Leave Setup then select Locations
- In the location you'd like to update, select the Holidays tab and then the Add a Holiday tab in the top-right corner
- Select the Half Day Holiday option and save the changes
The half-day holiday will now be visible on the calendar view and represented by striped blocks as other half-day leaves are:
The half-day holiday will also be included in the notifications:
As with regular holidays, half-day holidays are automatically given to users.
| Please note that users can request leaves for these days, they'd just have to make sure that they're selecting the half-day option for the leave type.
