How Do I Set Half-Day Intervals?

Sometimes, somebody from your team may need to take a few hours from work but not the whole day. In these cases, it’s best to have a half-day policy set in place. Luckily, you can set one up in Vacation Tracker :)

Let’s begin!

Go to the Vacation Tracker Dashboard - https://app.vacationtracker.io/signin

On the left-hand side, under Leave Setup, click on Locations. If you are just starting with Vacation Tracker you will see a Default Location where all of the Users will be sent to. You can create more locations or just edit the one. For more information on creating locations, please see the following article: How Do I Create a Location?

3. Click on the View option at the bottom of any Location

4. In the same window, go to the Leave Policies tab and click on a policy for which you would like to allow half-days

5. A pop-up will appear where you will see the Shortest Leave Duration option. Here, you can select the Full Day, Half Day or Hourly option (if you are part of our Complete plan).

6. Once you are done editing, click on Update and your changes will be saved!
