How Do I Set a Custom Workday Schedule?
Some or all of your users may have a custom schedule (instead of the usual 8 hours a day; Monday to Friday), which means you may need to customize their working week(s). You can do so by customizing the working week and even their working day length.
To solely customize the working week schedule (Monday to Sunday) for each user, please use the following steps: How Do I Set a Custom Work Week?
If you’d like to customize a user’s workday length (number of hours worked) and working week (Monday to Sunday) for the user, please use the following steps:
Step 1: Go to the Vacation Tracker Dashboard - https://app.vacationtracker.io/signin
Step 2: On the left-hand side of the dashboard, click on Users.
Step 3: Once the page opens, click on the user’s name or picture to enter their profile.
Step 4: On the user’s profile scroll down to the Working Days section and click on Edit on the top right-hand corner of the section
Step 5: A new pop-up will open where you will be able to edit the schedule and set the working days for that user.
Step 6: On the top of the pop-up you will see the option to Enable Working Hours Schedule, click YES
Step 7: A more detailed schedule will open where you will be able to edit both the working week and the length of the day for each working day.
Example: In the case shown below, Jean has Monday off as well as the weekend (she works a 4 day workweek); however, she also works 10 hours a day instead of the usual 8.

You can customize the hours and days as you’d like.
Step 6: If you are satisfied with your edits, click on Update and you’re done!
Please note: If you set one working week, our system will be take only that schedule into consideration for all the upcoming working weeks. In the example above, Jean’s every upcoming working week will also be Tuesday to Friday with 10 hour shifts.
If your employees have more than one weekly schedule, you can simply click on the Add Week button on the bottom left-hand side of the pop-up to a total of 4 weeks. You can edit the days and hours for each of these weeks as you’d wish.
Example: In the case shown below, Jean has Monday off with Tuesday to Friday being 10 hour shifts in the first two weeks. However, the second two weeks she is working Monday to Friday; 8 hours a day.

Please note: The system would use this exact schedule and re-use it every 4 weeks for all the upcoming weeks. To clarify, on February 16th her schedule will once again be: Monday off with Tuesday to Friday being 10 hour shifts in the first two weeks. However, the second two weeks she is working Monday to Friday; 8 hours a day.
Once you click on Update, you will be able to see all of these changes clearly in the Working Days section:
